Bob Duff has covered the NHL since 1991 and is a published author of several books, including bios of Marcel Pronovost, Johnny Bower, Steve Yzerman, Ted Lindsay, Gordie Howe, Bob Probert and Joe Kocur. A rec-league goalie, Duff once made a glove save on a point-blank Guy Lafleur shot, causing Lafleur to slam his stick to the ice in anger. This was his career highlight. Just don’t tell anyone Duff’s team lost the game 7-1. Kind of ruins the story.
